Signs It’s Time to Redecorate Your Home
If you’re a new homeowner or even renter, you will one day come to a point where you ask yourself – “When is it time to redecorate?”
There is no specific time or rules. But here are some tips and signs that it is time to redecorate your home.
Personal Spaces
Let’s start with your bedroom. Remember that your bedroom is your personal sanctuary. This is where you should be finding solace and relaxation, especially at the end of a very stressful day. For this reason, redecorating it every few years would be a fair thing to do.
For instance, repainting your bedroom walls and ceiling once every two or three years will help you get a rejuvenated feeling. Let go of stuff you don’t really use. Replace old pillows and pillowcases with new ones for a more comfortable sleep. Get creative! Get new linens that will complement your newly painted walls.
What about the kid’s bedroom? Your 6-year old son, who loves Lightning McQueen in every corner of his room, may no longer be as interested with the same interior design four or five years from now.
A change of interest or lifestyle is one indication that you need to redecorate, whether it’s your room or your kid’s room.
Be Proud
Over time, a family member might bring home awards, trophies, medals, and other recognitions, that everyone will be proud of. Make some space to display these achievements inside your home! This might require a rearrangement of your interior design.
Replace or Repurpose
Threadbare fabrics, carpets, draperies, soft furnishings suggest a home design revamp by replacing your worn-out rugs and textiles.
Redecorating does not mean throwing old things completely. You can DIY wall decors from your old frames, plastic flowers or even antique woods. If you see some items inside your house that are no longer serving its purpose, it is a hint that you may be able to create something new out of it and use it to redecorate any of your room.

Babies! Babies! Babies!
Consider redecorating or rearranging pieces of furniture in your living room when your baby starts learning how to walk. Putting carpets on your living room can be safer for your baby.
Also, if you are expecting an additional family member soon, redecorating a room in preparation of a new baby would be a wise thing to do.

Dirty Walls
When your walls are getting soiled or are beginning to make your home look old, that’s absolutely a sign you need to redecorate, and repaint your walls or change the wallpapers. Consider repainting your bathroom walls too.
Kitchen and Dining Rooms
Adding some accents to your kitchen and dining rooms, or repositioning things in these rooms once every two years can lessen or cut the humdrum routine activities in these rooms.
Add excitement to your life! Redecorate your home when you feel the need to within a reasonable budget, time and effort.
