Welcome to the new Beige House!

[bigletter]If you’ve been visiting the Beige House for a while, then you might be shocked to see something new. But don’t worry, you’re in the right place![/bigletter]

I am SO pleased to welcome you to the new site!

I’ve been tinkering at this new look for a little bit (the joy of ADHD means you’re never fully satisfied with anything) and am finally ready to show the new look off. Not only is it pretty (in my opinion, at least), but the new layout has some very cool features I’m excited to show off a little.

I started thinking a lot about the usability of this site: what I want it to be and what you’ve asked me for in emails, comments, etc. Essentially, I really decided it was time to make things streamlined. The biggest change, I think, is I’ve put the content you want front and center with easy access to the plant care guides, my weird-ass gift guides, and more. Much of this was thought out by looking at trends of what you like to see here and the content that keeps you coming back. But don’t worry, if you don’t see your favorite stuff… I haven’t deleted anything! In fact, it’s gotten even easier to find all the content you want, thanks to the Archives.

The Archives are now easy access and are searchable by category, month, or keyword; whichever fits your fancy. (Is that a phrase? The coffee has worn off) [spacer]

Can’t find what you’re looking for? Try the three-lined icon on the right side next to the search icon/magnifying glass.

I know it might take some getting used to; change is hard! But I think you’ll really love the streamlined version of the site as much as I did putting it together.

If you’re curious, the original theme is BuzzBlog but tweaked by me, the perpetual WordPress nerd.

Okay, enough chit-chat, onto new content! See you there.
