Hey there, crafters! Megan here, and welcome to my crafting channel at The Beige House. Today, I am super excited to share with you a fun and spooky project that I’ve been working on: zombie lady pendants. These pendants have a cool Victorian vibe with a touch of darkness that I just adore. Plus, one of them even glows in the dark! So, let’s dive right in and I’ll show you how to make these unique and eye-catching accessories.

Three DIY cameo necklaces with a woman's face on them.

To start off, you’ll need a 2-part epoxy. I used about 100 milliliters for three pendants, but adjust the amount depending on your preference. Mix the epoxy according to the instructions provided. For an added touch, I utilized black alcohol ink and a dash of black mica shimmer to give the pendants some texture. Slowly pour the mixture into the mold, ensuring no air bubbles get trapped. A little tap and a quick torching help set the epoxy, and then it’s time to let them cure for 24 hours.

Once the epoxy has set, it’s time to demold the pendants. Look at the incredible details on these creepy ladies! I could have dusted the mold with mica to save myself some painting, but I decided painting them would give me the perfect base for what I had in mind. Remember, I did a slight overpour, so I lightly sanded the edges to even them out. Starting with 100 grit sandpaper and working my way up to 320 grit, I achieved a smooth finish.

Next comes the painting phase. I used white acrylic paint for one pendant because I wanted to create a worn and antique look. Using a short brush, I carefully applied the paint, emphasizing the intricate details. To enhance the vintage vibe, I purposefully made it a bit messy. I then tidied up any excess paint with a cuticle pusher. The real excitement came with the glow-in-the-dark pendant. I used a thin glow-in-the-dark paint to allow the details to shine through. One coat was enough to achieve the effect I wanted—a worn and spooky glow.

To complete the collection, I painted one pendant in gold, aiming for a gilded age spookiness. Once the paint was dried, I finished off the pendants with a coat of UV resin. Placing them on the back of the mold made for a convenient workspace that accommodated the pendants perfectly. Underneath the UV light, they all transformed into mesmerizing pieces of art.

And now, the big reveal! The pendants look absolutely stunning, and the details really pop. Both the UV light and the white pendant have a cool glow to them, but the glow-in-the-dark pendant steals the show. It not only glows in the dark but also reacts to UV light. How cool is that? These pendants are perfect for adding a touch of spookiness to any outfit or for channeling your inner haunted mansion-goer.

To finish off the pendants, I like to attach them to cabochons using a dab of Gorilla Glue. Cabochons give the pendants a more polished and finished look. Be sure not to use too much glue, though, to avoid any unwanted bleeding. Gorilla Glue dries quickly, but it still provides a bit of wiggle room to adjust the pendant’s position. Once everything is in place, let the glue set, and you’re ready to rock your new zombie lady pendant.

I had so much fun creating these zombie lady pendants, and I hope you enjoyed watching the process as much as I loved making them. They’re an excellent way to let your individuality and spooky side shine. Whether you’re attending a Halloween party or just adding a touch of macabre to your everyday style, these pendants are sure to turn heads.
